Berwick-upon-Tweed represented by people’s delegate

Mrs Margaret Shaw attending the EWT Executive meeting in Malta 11-12 May, told an unusual story: the inhabitants of Berwick consider participation in the EWT organisation of such importance that they all together funded, not only the membership fee, but also the travel cost of their representative Mrs Shaw to attend the Executive meeting in Malta. The money was raised by organising coffee mornings and afternoon teas amongst other things. A most admirable initiative!!
